Nice meeting you all!

Hi
I am Allie and I have been diagnosed with M.E. for 11
years, but I've had it for a lot longer. I went down
with it after two bad viruses. I am 37, married to Yeti
and I have a daughter Storm. I am no longer able to
work, which to begin with, I found very hard. The good
thing though, is I've found I have many hidden talents
and I found myself. I love being here and the support I
have received has been brilliant! I have made many new
friends. I apologize for the picture but this is the
only one I like of me. It's great to meet you.

Hi! I'm Teri. There
are some who believe M.E. and Fibromyalgia are just opposite ends of
the same syndrome. I was diagnosed with the Fibro end of the
spectrum in 1999 although, I believe I've had it for most of my
life. I with those who've gone before me, the trick is to stay as
positive as we can and plan our lives so the M.E./Fibro doesn't
interfere so very much. I was lucky to have a Fibromyalgia
counselor in the beginning. The very most important thing she said
to me was, "You can't have your life back, Teri, but you can build a
life that's even better than the one you are pining for". She was
right. To that end I've been putting my own articles and the
research I do on a website. A bit more about me and the things I've
written can be found at:

Hi
my name is Sara. I have 2 children and three grandchildren. I
have lived alone for some years now. After an admission in 1996 to
hospital with a condition called Guellainne Barre' I was unable to
return to work. I was later diagnosed with Fybromyalgia but like
many, I have had it a lot longer. I also have other conditions like
O.A. and Asthma which limit my mobility meaning I don't get out as
often as I used to. I joined this group to be with people who
understand the difficulties of living with a chronic condition and
learn more that could help me cope with daily living. However, I
have found a whole lot more and made some wonderful friends that I
couldn't be without now. I am delighted to be part of the team and
hope to contribute in some way to the group as best I can. I look
forward to getting to know you.
